Baylon Capital Management is a private investment partnership which seeks to deliver long term and tax-efficient capital appreciation with moderate volatility and proactive risk management. Its focus is primarily on liquid securities of listed companies which it believes are priced at a substantial discount to their intrinsic value.
Scott A. Schoen
Chief Executive Officer
Prior to forming Baylon Capital Management, Mr. Schoen joined Thomas H. Lee Partners in 1986, where he has held various positions including Co-President from 2003-2009, Vice Chairman from 2010-2011, and Senior Advisor since 2012. Thomas H. Lee Partners a Boston based private equity investment firm with total assets under management currently in excess of $15 billion. Prior to 1986 Mr. Schoen was in the Private Finance Department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. He received a B.A. in history summa cum laude from Yale University, a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. Mr. Schoen has served as a director on more than two dozen corporate boards, including The Nielsen Company, Acosta Sales & Marketing, Gen9, Inc., Rayovac Corporation, Transwestern Publishing, L.P., Axis Specialty Ltd, and Alliance Bernstien Holdings L.P. He is currently a member of the Management Advisory Board of AndMark Investment Fund. Mr. Schoen is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Partners Continuing Care, and is a Trustee of Partners Healthcare System, where he serves on the Investment Committee. Scott is also a Director Emeritus of Share Our Strength. He is a member of the MGH President's Council, and the Homebase Leadership Council.
Charles A. Mangum

Mr. Mangum joined Fidelity Management and Research Company in 1990 as a healthcare analyst. Mr. Mangum subsequently managed The Fidelity Select Medical Delivery Fund (1990-93), Select Healthcare Fund (1992-1995), Fidelity Convertible Securities Fund (1995-1996), Fidelity OTC Fund (1996-1997), Fidelity Dividend Growth Fund (1997-2008) and the Advisor Dividend Growth Fund (1998 – 2008). From 1986-1988 Mr. Mangum was a corporate finance analyst with Eppler, Guerin & Turner. Mr. Mangum received a B.A. in Economics and a B.B.A. in Finance at Southern Methodist University and received an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1990. Mr. Mangum has served on the Board of Trustees of Eaglebrook School and on the Investment Committees of The Eaglebrook School and The Fessenden School. Mr. Mangum is an Executive in Residence at Babson College, where he works with students who manage the Babson College Fund, a student run equity fund. Mr. Mangum is also an advisor to Wellesley Investment Partners, an investment company owned by Wellesley Bank.
